Winter Yoga Retreat at Tilton House

Beat the winter blues by joining Bex and Rosie for a weekend yoga getaway in the English countryside. Tilton House is a beautiful Georgian property, nestled underneath the South Downs, and provides the perfect setting for a cosy weekend of yoga, meditation, delicious food and the chance to unwind with old or new friends.
About the Retreat:
Every bedroom has plenty of character and views over the Sussex Weald or South Downs. The bedrooms are either en suite or share a bathroom with another bedroom; these will be allocated on a first come first served basis. There is a beautiful library and sitting room with cosy sofas and warming fire places to help you relax and unwind with a hot drink.
Delicious vegetarian meals
Tilton House has a kitchen garden and aims to use as much home-grown produce as possible in their menus. All meals will be vegetarian and will be cooked by their on-site chef. Any dietary requirements can be accommodated with prior notice.
The retreat will include six chef-cooked meals over the weekend and a supply of tea, coffee and snacks if you’re feeling peckish.
All yoga levels are welcome on this retreat. The pre-breakfast class will consist of an energetic vinyasa flow; there will be a more gentle class on offer before lunch; and a relaxing yin yoga class and guided meditation each evening before bed. All classes are optional!
There are many glorious walks from Tilton House allowing you to explore the South Downs by foot. Alternatively, the artistic town of Lewes is a short drive away and is perfect for an afternoon of pottering.
However, reading or relaxing by the fire is always an option for those who want to completely unwind.
What to expect
The purpose of this retreat is to provide you with the opportunity to escape the winter blues and to take some time out from your usual schedule. Practising yoga every day will allow you to reconnect with your body and mind and to find some time and space for reflection. This is an inclusive retreat and we welcome everybody, whatever their prior experience of yoga.
How to get there
Trains from London Victoria to Berwick or Lewes run every hour and take 1 hour 30 minutes – the house is then a short taxi ride away. Tilton House is just off the A27, and a car journey from central London takes about 1hr 45 minutes.
The weekend is priced at £325, inclusive of all food, yoga classes and accommodation based on two people sharing. There is an additional supplement for single occupancy. Please email email@example.com.
